Today, we’re taking our taste buds on a wild ride with a twist that is so sweet. Apple Donuts on a Napoleon Grill.



Ingredients:
⁃ Puff pastry sheet
⁃ Apples
⁃ 1 Egg
⁃ ZOE Olive Oil
⁃ Cinnamon Maple Sugar mixture:
⁃ 3 tablespoons Jakeman’s Maple Sugar
⁃ 1.5 tablespoons Cinnamon

Steps:
1. Remove grill from one side of bbq and replace with cast iron griddle (56425) oil well and Preheat grill to 340-400
2. Remove your puff pastry sheet from the fridge and allow it to sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes. If frozen thaw according to package instructions.
3. Core apple and cut into apple rings of about ¼ inch thick.
4. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in shallow bowl and dip the apple rings in the mixture.
5. Lightly roll the puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut into thin strips.
6. Wrap each apple ring with the puff pastry strips until completely covered. It will take about 2 to 3 strips for each apple ring.
7. Lightly beat the egg and brush the apple rings. Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
8. Grill until the puff pastry is golden brown, it will take between 15 to 20 minutes.
9. Serve and enjoy.
